Would this be considered illegal sexual contact?
BACP respects that the laws governing termination of pregnancy in Northern Ireland are laid down in statute and fully understands that counsellors who work in this field in Northern Ireland should pay due regard to the document: Guidance on the Termination of Pregnancy: The Law and Clinical Practice in Northern Ireland. Counselling can also help women come to terms with the psychological consequences of the decisions they make.
Counselling can help women (and their partners if required), reflect on and understand the often complicated feelings surrounding termination, and can aid decision making.
Additional Details
This would of course be if the people lived in a country where someone was a legal adult at 18 lol

Please draw your own conclusions about this. These issues do not nehave like "illness", nor are their outcomes measurable by a checklist.

In some respects this is welcome, but the way in which this is being handled by the government is ill advised, seeking to place the said professions under the auspices of the Health Professions Council. ClickLegislation is likely to be going though in the United Kingdom relatively soon, which makes it illegal to use the term counsellor, or psychotherapist unless you are state registered.
If you are a member of Anxiety UK you can access CBT via our in-house therapy service. Those wishing to access CBT can ask their GP to refer them to the local NHS service, or see a therapist privately.
With an account you can keep track of pages on the site and save them to this tab, which you can access on every page when you are logged in. The current mental health strategy in Scotland focuses predominantly on providing Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) as a treatment for depression and excludes a wide range of other forms of evidence-based counselling.

The scheme will provide easy access to talking treatment on the NHS to everyone who needs it. Just about anyone
at all may claim to be a counsellor if they are in the role of giving advice
so some care is needed in selecting a suitable consellor or therapist so you
are advised to choose someone who is a member of either theThe Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) programme, which began in 2006, is putting thousands more trained therapists into general practices.
For example, financial
planning and spiritual guidance are both types of counselling. It is a term that
is used in conjunction with many types of advice giving.

It involves two people working together to solve a problem. Technically speaking, "counsellor" means "advisor".

Although they are very similar, there are profound
differences as well. According to an online survey by the"Counselling" and "Psychotherapy" are terms that are
often used interchangeably.

Some GPs are more likely to refer you for therapy than others.
Your GP’s personal views about talking therapy can also affect your access to it.
